OzarksGo is a telecommunications subsidiary of Ozarks Electric Cooperative, based in Fayetteville, Arkansas. OzarksGo offers high-speed internet and premium television and telephone services to Northwest Arkansas and Northeast Oklahoma using an all-fiber-optic network. This network allows Ozarks Electric to increase the reliability of electric service to its members, while OzarksGo provides broadband service that offers speeds and capabilities often found only in urban areas.
OzarksGo is also a natural extension of the Ozarks Electric purpose: “To power communities and empower members to improve the quality of their lives.” We believe that in the 21st Century, reliable access to high-speed, affordable internet service is just as import as access to electricity was in the 1930s and 1940s. In 1930, less than 10% of farms had access to electricity, and cooperatives like Ozarks Electric stepped up to bring power to areas unserved by for-profit companies. In 2016, 53% of Americans lacked access to broadband, and Ozarks was determined to change that statistic for our service territory.
Much like Ozarks Electric did with electricity in 1938, OzarksGo provides reliable, affordable broadband to Northwest Arkansas and Northeast Oklahoma. We have built out our network to the entire Ozarks Electric territory and beyond and continue to examine potential areas for expansion.
